So I mapped this out in my head logically, in DaO you have Khủng of each class of companion. 2 Rouges ba Warriors 2 Mages 2 … weird things but I’ve read that Jowan was an intended companion meaning that you would wave tam of each basic companion type. It also means that you’ve go one companion from each main story quest except for the quest involving the Dalish. So I believe that there may have been an Elven ranger type companion that was cut out as well. Does anyone else think that this is possible ? GarettTheBoy ( talk ) 02 : 47, April 17, 2013 ( UTC )I’ve often wondered about this. When you go bự the Circle, you pick up a Mage companion ( Wynne ), và when you go phệ Orzammar, you pick up a dwarf companion ( Oghren ) ; it seems odd that you can’t recruit a companion from among the Dalish. Mithra, Athras, or Deygan could have all been viable options, although I think Mithra would have been fun as the archetypical haughty Dalish elf. He / She could also have been the one who offered training in the Ranger specialization once your approval was high enough. Maybe it was just one of those things they ran out of thời gian / money bự bởi vì ? The option of recruiting a werewolf phệ your buổi tiệc nhỏ could have been an even more amusing option. — Darkly Tranquil ( talk ) 07 : 17, April 17, 2013 ( UTC )I really wanted Khủng recruit Mithra, when you first approach the Dalish it feels lượt thích the game is setting her up lớn come along as a guide through the forest who’d join after the quest. Then suddenly she’s done, it was disappointing as i would’ve liked phệ have had a Dalish béo offer some insight along the way who was less insane then Velanna & Merill — Tabris. the.great ( talk ) 08 : 00, April 17, 2013 ( UTC )Campions I’d have recruited : I would have Conscripted Swiftrunner in a heartbeat. Jowan just béo spit in Eamon’s face, that prudish old bastard. Cullen because we need more fanatic Templar / Mage banter. Last but not least, I would have recruited Kolgrim, or at least convinced his army lớn join ours. Konous ( talk ) 14 : 17, April 17, 2013 ( UTC )While it might have been nice phệ wonder if someone could have been recruited, I kinda think in some instances Bioware knew someone wouldn’t have been recruited – Mithra & the other Dalish for example. They’re the only clan in the region & suffered many casualties from the werewolf attacks. No way any Dalish elf would have left when the clan was still recovering & getting messages bự the other clans. But I kind of would have liked béo have had a chất lượng companion based on each origin, such as Ser Gilmore only recruitable in the human noble game or Fenarel for the Dalish Elf. It would have helped keeping the Warden keyed lớn their respective origins và created playthroughs that were a little different in key areas. — Madasamadthing ( talk ) trăng tròn : 17, April 17, 2013 ( UTC )

The idea seems interesting, but you have to wonder, when would these people be recruited? Immediately after the origin? If so, then why couldn’t they undergo the Joining as well? I also have to wonder, assuming they’re recruited immediately, what the storyline would be for Redcliffe since Jowan would neither have taught Connor magic or poisoned Eamon.–Lurooke Surana (talk) 21:38, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

No, the point of the Origins is to help define the Warden’s life and to take that life away from them. Having a companion from the origin immediately recruitable would be counter-productive. The best solution would be to have certain conditions in effect to recruit, such as the Dalish Warden having to complete the Dalish treaty, the Human Noble would have to go to Howe’s dungeon or meet the companion in a bandit encounter on the Imperial Highway, and so on. Bringing in the exclusive companions would act as a later counterpoint and help the Warden reflect on how they’ve acted since last seeing companion. Plus the mental image of someone like Ser Gilmore having to deal with the likes of Morrigan and Oghren is just too funny. –Madasamadthing (talk) 23:24, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

I thought that was the point of the Origin cameo during the coronation. DAWUSS (talk) 03:04, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Well, speaking of Ser Gilmore, there are already two mods which allow you mập recruit him – one by Immortality, & then Karmas Origins Companions. In Immortality’s thủ thuật you meet Gilmore in Lothering, in Karmas thủ thuật you need lớn rescue him from Highever dungeon first. Sadly, Karmas hack does not offer interjection between tiệc ngọt members, as it is still work in progress, but it would be interesting Khủng see some funny dialogs : D — Neferit ( talk ) 13 : 58, May 11, 2013 ( UTC )

I thought it might of been the man’s wife, the one who couldn’t be saved, I forget her name, but it seemed lượt thích more was intended mập happen with her. 98.157.18.5 ( talk ) 22 : 21, April 18, 2013 ( UTC )
